Tembec Inc. was founded in 1973 and named from the town of its origin, Temiscaming Quebec. We quickly became a global leader in the production of wood products including newsprint, flooring, lumber, LVL, ibeams and chemicals, initially supplied in Ireland and UK through distributors such as Brooks Thomas and Travis Perkins. Tembec Europe was established in Dublin in 1999 as an export subsidiary to service Tembec's EMEA business. Tembec Inc was sold to Rayoner (USA) in 2015. 

Tembec's sports flooring business fostered our interest in further expanding to offer total solutions for sports halls and facilities in all sectors. We have recently been appointed as exclusive agents in Ireland for DUOL, the world's largest and most innovative Airdome facility solution for sports, commercial, industrial and many other applications. Given huge cost inflation on construction projects and energy, it makes sense to strongly consider a proven alternative that offers massive cost savings and very short installation timelines, amongst multiple other unique benefits. As worldwide pioneers of forestry certification with FSC, Tembec's range of architectural flooring and premium sports surfaces became hugely successful and are installed into thousands of hotels, sports venues, commercial premises and high value residences across Ireland and internationally. 'TemSport' and 'Muskoka' branded maple and oak sports systems are also installed in many schools, universities and public buildings, and we frequently refurbish or reclaim these products for re-use in situ, a superb testimony to authentic sustainability, enduring quality and our living legacy.  As our flooring business evolved we have added other premium brands of wood and synthetic flooring including Sika Pulastic, Scheucher, Action Sports, Bergo and Fortelock to offer the widest selection of flooring solutions.
